Going back on HBC after a short break
Hi all, So, I've been on HBC (specifically, Desogen) for more than 5 years. Unfortunately my pharmacy messed up so about a month ago I couldn't get a refill in time- my pack ran out and I didn't get another pack til 10 days later. So I've been off of it since then- I'm waiting for my next period so I can start taking it again. But my period isn't coming! I've been on HBC for so long it's hard to remember how long my cycle used to be, but I'm pretty sure I should have gotten it already. So I have 2 questions 1) Is it possible that I won't get my period for a while? 2) Can I start desogen again even without a period? How should I go about doing this? Thanks! |

Bleeding after yeast infection treatment
I had a PAP a few weeks ago and when they called to give me the results last week, they told me I had a yeast infection. They recommended I just do an over the counter treatment, so I picked up the Monistat 3 pack. So for the past three days, I've been using it. Last night was my last night, but tonight I've noticed that I've been spotting a lot of blood. It doesn't appear to be normal spotting (something I get sometimes due to the fact I skip some periods) and it's rather...chunky. Not in a clot kind of way, but it looks like white something, perhaps discharge or even the cream? The colour is also very very light, almost pink. I would think it's spotting but again, I highly doubt it since this is nothing like the normal spotting I've experienced. Now, I feel like I should mention the first two nights of treating the infection were rather painful. The inside of my vagina was stinging like crazy, but last night it was okay and didn't hurt since that second night. Could this be something to do with the treatment? Could it just be normal spotting? Actually, could it even be implantation bleeding? I am on the pill and am meticulous about taking it at exactly the same time every day, but did have my partner ejaculate into me by accident about a week and a half ago. Thank you! |

Late bleed on Nuva Ring
I've been using Nuva Ring for about 8 months now, with no problems until now. At first I was removing the ring on a Monday night, my period would come around Wednesday, be gone by Saturday or Sunday, and I'd insert the new one on Monday. Fine. But as each month has gone by, my period has started coming later and later, and getting closer to when I want to insert the new ring. Last month I was still bleeding lightly on the day I had to put the new ring in. Today, I've had the ring out for 5 days and only just started my period today. I know I'll still be bleeding heavily/moderately by the time I have to insert the new one this *Thursday. I usually bleed 2-3 days heavily, then another 2 days lightly. What I'm worried about is, can I still use tampons after I put the new ring in? It's not going to absorb the hormones at all, and reduce how protected I am? I'm not sure if that's a silly question or not, and I forgot to ask my doctor at the time. I don't mind not using tampons for a few days, but if my period is going to keep getting later and later, surely that's a sign my cycle is way out of whack? Any clues? Thanks. *I accidentally left the last one in for 3 days too long, but spoke to my doctor and read the booklet, he said that's fine just to take it out, wait 7 days and put a new one in. A bump...
Hello fellow VPers . You guys have always given me wonderful advice , so thank you thank you thank you for that =) I have yet another question/problem today ... I recently found a bump on my vagina . It's no where close to the actual opening or anything , but it is there , and it is painful to the touch . It's sort of in the middle between my clitoris hood and the place where my thigh ends , if that makes sense at all . When I touch it , I can sort of feel that there's some form of liquid inside . It's definitely no mosquito bite . I've had these before , but they've gone away on their own , and they've never gotten this big . (It's almost the size of a dime now) It's normal skin color and when you take a closer look there's a white dot in the middle of it (very small, the size of the tip of a pin... I wasn't even sure it was part of the bump at first) So I'm not sure what I should do . If I don't touch it , it's fine . If I touch it , it's tender and sort of painful . I'm hoping it'll go away on its own , but it's been a couple days and it just keeps getting bigger and more tender . Just a side note : I am sexually active but both my boyfriend and I were virgins when we had sex and I am 110% sure both of us were faithful the entire time we've been having sex . I looked up genital herpes and warts and it looks nothing like those . I'm guessing it's some sort of cyst that wont go away ... So wondering if anyone here had any advice/help ? I will get to see my boyfriend in two days (not a LDR but he's at a different university and his car's broken) and I'm slightly worried sex would be painful with the cyst there . Ok, I discovered yesstyle.com the other day and I can't stop looking at it. And I am 5'10", size 9-11, 38B, huge shoulders. And almost everything on that site is one-size-only probably equaling out to a size 4, 30A. And if it ain't one-size-only, it still ain't gonna fit me. And, man, I ain't even all that big, just big boned and Anglo-Saxon as all hell. :[ And looking at those clothes is seriously more masochistic than looking at clothes on Anthropologie that I just plain can't afford, when I CAN afford these no prob, they're long enough for me and my height, and they're, like, oh, my god. I need these dresses or I'm gonna die. I have lost the will to live, man. These are the kinds of dresses I scour the internet for hours trying to find. So is there any place online where I can buy pretty floaty delicate sheer chiffon feminine Korean clothes that'll, you know, fit me? Or am I just screwed and damned to a life of Forever 21/UO sale bin dresses that hardly cover my butt that I'm not even super crazy about. Help me, madradstalkers. You're my only hope. HBC and depression
hello all! ( background! )alright! so! I've always been a very emotional person (ever since I was little my mom used to say "you better learn how to control your tears because soon you'll have all these crazy hormones flying and it'll be a lot worse!"), and recently I've been terribly emotional and have experienced waves of depression and anxiety (pms has been a blaaast the past few months, to say the least) I was wondering if I were to go on the pill if it were to mess up my hormones more and crank up the intensity of my psycho emotional rollercoaster, or if there's not really a way to tell orrrr if it would be a better option (risk wise and money wise) to just try out something else to possibly regulate my moods (I was going to opt for a vit. b complex, I haven't been diagnosed with clinical depression or anything so I wouldn't use anti-depressants or anything) thanks so much and sorry if that doesn't make any sense! |

don't feel anything before orgasm?
Hellooo everyone, I looked in the archives and on Google but couldn't find anything like this. I know a lot of girls started masturbating really young but it didn't really even occur to me until I was like 16. I'm 18 now and I have JUST this year managed to have an orgasm. I've had sex once but it sucked so I'm not even counting it as part of my experience. Anyway, my problem is that when I do masturbate I feel very little to nothing before I orgasm. I basically feel nothing/very very little sensation for about 10 minutes and then I have an intense but VERY short orgasm. Is it normal to feel nothing before having an orgasm? I know it takes time to know what works for you and it might just be because I haven't found what works best for me, but I've never heard of a girl literally feeling nothing until she comes! Help Help Help
I decided not to move into the shotgun house with my boyfriend. Instead I just moved out above a head shop in the middle of downtown Lexington, KY on the University of Kentucky Campus. My apartment was once two efficiencies hence the matching closets, built in bookshelves & the fact that I have two bathrooms.
This is my moving precess. Everything is a train wreck currently but I have plans to finish EVERYTHING before my vacation this weekend. Expect another much prettier post very soon. This is where I ask more annoying questions and for advice.

Clue cells present?
What does this mean? I went to the doctor today about my continued YI and the swab from last week was back. The nurse told me it was negative for candida and I took a peek at her computer screen there were a few other notes, I saw the word gonorrhea, am presuming it was negative or she would have told me. But there was a note saying 'clue cells present'. What does this mean? Aren't they associated with BV? Does this mean I do have BV or is it normal to have some clue cells? |

Recipe Request: Vanilla Cake
hi Everyone: I'm hoping to receive some help today. My son's 6th birthday party is this weekend and I'm looking for a great vanilla cake recipe. I will be making it in 9 in. round pans, so something that would suit that would be great! My husband's family is used to sponge cake so they don't favor anything that is too sweet. Orange and forbidden seeds
I made orange poppy seed muffins a few weeks back and they were about the most awesome muffins I've ever had. Poppy seeds aren't sold in Singapore because of their historical link to Opium, so I happily bought myself a packet from Melbourne and made myself some glorious tasting muffins! :) (I recall responding to a recipe request post about 2? weeks back but I forgot which one it was and I forgot to link the person to the recipe! Hopefully this post helps!)

Recipe Search - Chocolate Rum balls
Hi all. I want to make an assortment of yummy baked goodies to give out for christmas presents. could anyone suggest a great recipe for chocolate rum balls, or any recipes for variations of them - ie lemon balls etc.
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for any other good gift baking ideas - extra points for anything that is easy to make but looks/tastes impressive and/or christmassy.
